What is an Accounting Advisor?
An accounting advisor(会計参与 kaikei-sanyo) is one of organs of a stock company(株式会社 kabushiki-gaisha).
Qualifications of Accounting Advisors
According to paragraph 1 of article 333 of the Companies Act of Japan, an accounting advisor shall be following persons or juridical persons:
- a certified public accountant(公認会計士 kounin-kaikeishi);
- an audit firm(監査法人 kansa-houjin);
- a certified public tax accountant(税理士 zeirishi); or
- a tax accountant corporation(税理士法人 zeirishi-houjin).
